Walla Walla University’s Department of 音乐 will present the annual choir and orchestra winter concert on Saturday afternoon, 3月9日, 下午4点.m. in the Walla Walla 大学教堂. The concert will feature the WWU symphony orchestra directed by Brandon Beck, associate professor of music, as well as University Singers and ICantori directed by Kraig Scott, professor of music.
The concert will feature a variety of music spanning multiple time periods. 这是由 ICantori will feature a cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach accompanied by a string quartet playing with baroque bows in addition to other selections. The University Singers will perform “Five Hebrew Love Songs,” a collection of pieces composed by Eric Whitacre. The concert will also feature Dan Forrest’s “A Mighty Fortress,” performed by the WWU symphony orchestra.
The 大学教堂 is located at 212 S.W. Fourth Street in College Place. The concert is free and open to the public, though donations are welcome.
